good times.
typing this is rather painful; not emotionally or anything but youll find out if you read on. i had one of the best weekends in a while (excluding saturday lunch and today).
friday night was pretty good, i went up chars with scott, alicia, lucy and amy. i dont really talk to alicia and lucy but as we were all fairly drunk we had a good laugh. everyone went to the legion except me and scott, we decided to stay at mine but made a pit stop at his for some more lager.
then we got to mine drunk some more and slept. damn does scott snore!
i woke up and tiptoed out passed scott as he was still deeply asleep. i left for work and then scott went home. it felt weird going to work with a mild hangover, i didnt feel like i was controlling my 'ped, it was like i was floating. strange. anyways hangovers can kill; well sort of.
i was at a junction waiting to turn out left and then right into work. i know you are supposed to give way or whatever but for some reason, without thinking, i pulled out. the car behind starting beeping like some kind of madman and so again, rather thoughtlessly, i pulled across the road narrowly missing an oncoming car. which was nice...
work dragged like a bastard and they even had the cheek to ask me to stay longer and hoover the restaurant, which i did rather begrudgingly. finished work and came home reeking of fish and with an aching back from hoovering. damn henry the hoover wasnt working properly.
i rested til about 6ish when char text me and invited me up hers so we could all have a few drinks before we got to the thin lizzy thing. whilst there i discovered my auntie is getting married in june. i love being ignored by my family.
me and lucy trotted down the road to cray's house for the lift. as he'd just finished work he was sober and we were a tad bit not. we had to struggle to act sober in front of his dad which was pretty funny. got there paid for a ticket (£10.50!), got inside and got the beers in. i didnt want to try and get served for fear of being turned down but amy got served and shes about 4 foot tall (maybe not that small). we sat around waiting for them to come out for a while. the cheese and grain (where it was held) is huge. i was dragged right to the front of the stage, and thats where i stayed for a whole 3 hours or so. they came out and fucking rocked! it was brilliant, im not hugely into thin lizzy but i sang along to a few of the songs i knew. there was a part where the guitarists all went off stage and left just the drummer there and he played a quailty 3-minute long drum solo. they 'finished' their set and went off stage. me and char instigated chants of : LIZZY *clap clap clap* LIZZY *clap clap clap*. it was amazing we soon had the whole crowd joining in with us. they inevitably came back out and played 2 more songs before finishing. we had 2 taxis booked; one for 12.30am and one for 1am. amy, laura, cray and lucy disappeared so we presumed theyd got the 12.30am taxi, which left me, char, leah and char's sister anna. we were sat around waiting to see 'phil lynott' (the lead singer) but he was talking to some people for ages. we were nearly thrown out by the bouncer but we said we were with the group, he went over and asked if we were with the group and 'phil' said we were! haha.
we kept ourselves amused by pretending to have tourette's and by shouting random stuff. he eventually strolled over and we went outside, but before we did, me and anna did something proper punk rock. there was a touch screen information thing by the entrance so we typed in 'cunt' and left it there; and ran. how very punk rock of us.
we got in the taxi and were being really loud but the driver didnt seem to mind, which was cool. we walked leah around her boyfriends and then diced with death by walking through a long dark alleyway. there was a massive wall at one side of it and i said (stupidly), 'look a wall' and tried to climb it. little did i realise the top of it was lined with barbed wire which cut my fingers making this post very uncomfortable to write.
that was pretty much my weekend. i had a great saturday night but the only dampener is that i have to work tonight with sliced fingers. oh yay. sweet joy.
chro.
